Sexual health is complex! How do you know if you are a holistic sexual adult? Joy is in loving yourself, often never found early enough.

CREATE A LIFE OF JOY

Reading this message means you have reached a point where you are ready to do more for yourself ◡̈

Joy is one of those things that many people struggle to understand. What does joy mean and how does it differ from happiness? If you are happy, then you are joyful, right?

We experience happiness when we experience things we like. Even if it is something positive happening to someone else.

Joy is not us getting what we want or experiencing things we like. Joy connects us to the present moment, wherever we are.

Joy is the emotion of great delight and comes from a pleasure deep within. It does not mean things are always great or without problems. Joy comes from feeling a sense of gratitude for how life is.

Connection + Awareness + Gratitude = JOY!

Joy is powerful. Happiness is fleeting and changes. Stress, anxiety, depression, low self-confidence, and other emotions and moods hijack our joy.

Joy is soul satisfying, emotional well being. It's about inner self, the energy that introduces us before we do.

Changing our relationship with our [most painful] memories increases joy. We want to move into spaces of awareness and acceptance, so we can experience joy.

Many of us are stuck trying to correct our past selves.

It is better for us to focus on changing the possible outcomes of our future. You have the power of choice to change your behavior, so you can live a life full of joy.

Below outlines some healthy practices to help you achieve the following:

  • A focused awareness

  • Connection with the moment

  • Take accountability for past experiences

  • Accept, not tolerate, the circumstances of our situation  

  • Cultivate space to experience comfort, safety, and JOY in your body to manifest peace in our mind

A Few Healthy Practices

Breathing - Improve your day by catching your breath. To pause negative thoughts in your mind.

When you wake-up, take a moment and scan your room to recognize that you are in a safe space. Relax your eyes and focus on the ceiling above your head. Notice the colors or patterns that you see.

While counting to four take a deep breath, hold for three seconds. Then release your breath while counting to seven in your mind.

Next, pause for a moment and repeat. Repeat this process a few times. Start with ten repetitions of mindful breathing. Continue until you feel present and relaxed.

Gratitude - We don’t always want to forget. Once you accept that many, if not most, of your questions will never have answers, you can start to move forward.

Try not to focus too much on tomorrow, you two have not met. It helps to open our mind and heart to the precious gift of the present moment.

Gratitude is a powerful skill that we can use to connect and raise awareness. Use the pleasure journal and write your thoughts.

Gratitude will begin to steep, deep within your soul in writing your own pleasure journal.  

Set Intentions - “Labor without thought is a labor lost.” Energy is precious, fragile, and changeable.

Where your attention goes, your energy flows. Set intentions and create purpose at the start of each day. Purpose is a motivation to act in a desired manner.
